Christmas in San Antonio!

We surprised my siblings an drove home to San Antonio on Thursday evening instead

of coming Christmas day. Christmas at my parents home was not only wonderful-

it was magical!
Friday morning we went to Bass Pro Shop and took free pics with Santa. That night, as

tradition, we got dressed up in our Christmas best and

went to

University Methodist Church for their candlelight service.

The choir, the orchestra, the sermon... and being there with all my family- made

for the most AMAZING Christmas Eve service ever! I'm not going to lie...I cried tears

of happiness and felt ultimate joy that night!

After church we had our special candlelight dinner, followed by the children making reindeer food with Mama. After the kids went to sleep

the we older kids stayed up and gave my

parents their gifts.

We had a wonderful time together laughing and making

memories. The kids slept in till 7 am! Yea! They were ecstatic to find that Santa had

written out clues that led them on a treasure hunt around
the house to find their

presents. Once the gifts were found the house filled with screams of delight and tons

of smiles! Cayden was so happy because he got his Lego Duplo! Ashton was thrilled to

get lots of Legos and Wii games. Kay-Lynn loved her Barbie Glam Beach house

and Littlest Pet Shop hospital. Christmas day continued to be so fun when my Mom

brought out the Memory game board for competing for gift cards, and the Jeopardy

game board competing for cash!

The memory game was matching up Christmas carols titles with the words

in the songs. The Jeopardy game was answering questions to spiritual topics that

at related to the Nativity. And they were tough!!

(Did you know that in the Old Testament, in the book of Numbers,

Balaam prophesied of the Christ's birth?)

After the prizes were all won we went out of the box and had McDonalds for dinner! So

random, but sofun! Then that night we played

Home Run Derby at the tennis courts. What and AMAZING day!

Thanks Mom for everything! YOU are my hero!
