PART 2 (Sorry the fonts are not working right-my computer is having a mind of it's own.) We went down to San Antonio again end of April along with Justin's brother Brett and his wife Heidi (they flew in from Idaho), and we all stayed at my Mom's house for Fiesta. For those of you who don't know, Fiesta is a huge week long celebration with all sorts of events, including parades, pinatas, night time fairs and more... For a little background info; the beginnings of Fiesta started in 1891 when a group of women paraded in front of the Alamo in horse-drawn carriages, pelting each other with flower blossoms. The parade served to honor those who fought in the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto. This Battle of Flowers Parade became an annual event in San Antonio and is celebrated every April. We also went to Coronation of the Queen of The Order of the Alamo, (at the fancy auditorium downtown), one of the central features of Fiesta San Antonio. During the coronation Texas Debutaunts wear gowns (that cost around $250,000) with long trains and preform the debutaunt curtsey. I loved seeing that- it truly was an "evening of beauty and fantasy." The next day the girls show off their gowns in the parade for all to see. It's really neat! We also went to Sea World while my Mom watched my kids-thanks so much Mom! Even though the water part wasn't open, it was perfect weather, and we didn't have a line at any ride! It was a blast! When these two get together they have such a fun time being silly! It's actually really cute! They just love being with one another so much! As we were walking out of the park Brett asked one of the vender guys if we could have left over churros...He gave us some for free! We just didn't want to leave, but we did and we were the last ones to leave the park.
